Talk about easy. I was able to achieve a precise focus in literally about 15 seconds. This used to take me more like 5 minutes. I even stuck the mask in front of my ST-80 guide scope and it worked with it as well. The pattern was a little softer because it's not sized for that aperture, but it was still clear to see when I was focused and again took all of 15 seconds to do it. This little device is tremendous. I really like the looks and build quality too. The little soft rubber pegs are a great way to mount it as well. Job well done!"

Our Bahtinov masks are made with light weight, thick, yet resilient plastic, will not break and will bend only when forced.
-They are strong enough and light enough to fully support themselves whether you hang them from the end of a rigid dew shield or from a plastic dew shield attached to the end of an SCT. These are not paper thin masks.
-You need not remove the dew shield to use these masks, just hang the mask from the end of the shield. This enables you to check your focus as frequently as you like throughout your imaging session.
